Do I need a Director? Who can be one?
Every company must have at least 1 Director who is a local Director in Singapore.
A company Director must be at least 18 years old, of full legal capacity, a Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident, EntrePass or employment pass (EP) holder & not disqualified from acting as a Director of a company (e.g. an undischarged bankrupt). Importantly, a company Director and shareholder can be the same or different person in Singapore.
For foreigners who wish to set up a Singapore company, we provide the services of a local Nominee Director. This can help you in fulfilling the Singapore companies’ statutory requirement of a local Director.
