What is Nominee Shareholder?

A nominee shareholder is someone who holds shares on behalf of another person.

A shareholder is a nominee if the shareholder:
is accustomed or under an obligation (whether formal or informal) to vote, in accordance with the directions, instructions or wishes of your nominator; and
receives dividends, on behalf of your nominator.
